Argentine tango classes and intensive workshops for new dancers
Learn Argentine tango with Bulent & Lina, Toronto’s only full-time tango dancers and teachers. Their fast-track teaching system draws on decades of professional dancing and teaching experience and is designed to help students progress about three times faster than in a conventional beginner programme.
Classes focus on practical skills from the beginning: walking, connection, musicality, navigation, partner communication and confident social dancing. Regular weekday classes, intensive courses, weekend workshops and introductory sessions provide several ways for complete beginners to start.
The academy is located at 206 Beverley St. in downtown Toronto, close to the University of Toronto, Chinatown and the city centre. This location has helped build a community made up largely of university students and young professionals, with many dancers between 25 and 35 years old.

Our fast-track beginner programme is designed to build a strong foundation quickly, making it easier for newer dancers to participate confidently in Tango 8 Fest workshops, practicas and social dancing.
If you are completely new to tango, a beginner course or free introductory class is a good way to start before attending festival workshops. Classes take place at Argentine Tango Toronto by Bulent & Lina, 206 Beverley St., Toronto.
The beginner programme introduces the same fundamental ideas used in longer courses: walking, connection, navigation, musicality and comfortable partner communication.
