Toronto Tango Teachers, Choreographers & Organizers of Tango 8 Fest

Bulent Karabagli and Lina Chan are full-time Argentine tango dancers, teachers and choreographers based in downtown Toronto. Together they organize Toronto Tango 8 Festival ★ Marathon and teach through Argentine Tango Toronto at 206 Beverley St.

With more than 25 years of teaching and choreography experience, they have developed a practical, fast-track approach designed to help students build strong tango fundamentals efficiently. Their work includes beginner and advanced classes, private lessons, performance coaching, wedding choreography, workshops, milongas and large-scale tango events.

Their academy is located close to the University of Toronto and downtown Toronto, and their community includes many university students and young professionals. They have focused on creating an environment that is social, welcoming and serious about good teaching without making tango feel intimidating.

Bulent previously organized one of Canada’s largest tango festivals in Montreal, while Bulent & Lina have continued to build Toronto-based tango events that combine strong teaching, international artists, social dancing and hospitality.
