Jean-Sebastien turned to Tango after many years of Salsa, Ballroom and Latin dances, and quickly grew into a strongly committed and very musical social dancer. He teaches in Montreal and DJs there or abroad on a regular basis. As a DJ, he uses a high quality repertoire that is mostly drawn from Golden Age tangos. His tanda arrangements are made with careful balance and a particular concern for the dancers’ creative/emotional experience. As a teacher, Jean-Sebastien is very sensitive to technique, musicality, and is a talented dance diagnostician. At the core of his teaching philosophy is a nurturing and caring connection with the student, fostering each individual’s connection to the music, their own creativity, and the partner.
